Accurate On-Device Bank Card OCR Tools
Has anyone tested OCR Studio’s Bank Card Scanner? It’s cool that it does OCR entirely on the device without sending data to the cloud — great for apps where privacy matters. I’m curious how well it handles tricky lighting and worn card numbers. Does it struggle with any card designs or embossing types? Would love real-world feedback on accuracy and ease of integration.

I’ve tested OCR Studio’s Bank Card Scanner https://ocrstudio.ai/bank-card-scanner/ in a prototype app, and the fully on-device OCR is a big win for privacy-sensitive use cases. Accuracy was strong in normal lighting, and even slightly worn numbers were usually detected correctly. Very strong glare or heavy embossing sometimes required a second scan, but that’s expected. Integration was fairly smooth using their SDK, with good performance on modern devices. Overall it feels reliable enough for real apps, especially where sending card data to the cloud isn’t an option.
